Brookland District

Henrico County consists of five magisterial districts: Brookland, Fairfield, Three Chopt, Tuckahoe, and Varina.

Brookland District may have been so named due to the many brooks coursing the area. Perhaps it was named after Upham Brook, which runs through most of this area. The exact derivation of the name is unknown.
