HCHS Events - Third Quarter Meeting 2018
Sunday, September 9th, 2:30PM

Our next meeting will be held at the Confederate Hills Recreation Center in the Locomotive Room, 302 Lee Avenue, Highland Springs, VA.

Our speaker, Tom Robinson, is the President of Moon Ventures, Vice-President of the Mathews Maritime Foundation and the Chairman of the Museum and Cultural Alliance. In addition, he is President of Global Emergency Response (aerial firefighting and disaster response). He served in the VA Army Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel as a search and rescue pilot. Rounding out his various careers, he founded the Henrico Concert Band and serves as President of the Courthouse Community Orchestra. Whew! We're not done yet. He also found time to serve as Chairman of the Henrico Recreation and Parks Commission, and was President of Capital City Developers.

Mr. Robinson will highlight some snapshots of history in Henrico, including:

  • Battle of Cricket Hill underwater exploration
  • History of Yuengling Brewery in Henrico
  • First U.S. Navy Destroyer (and several other military and civilian ships, as well) built on the Richmond/Henrico line in the Trigg Shipyard

We look forward to seeing you!
